For years, I spent my days on the shores of Dana Point and Swami’s, waiting for the perfect wave. Surf photography taught me one undeniable truth: you cannot rush nature. You have to watch, wait, and be ready when the magic happens.
Today, I bring that same level of patience to portrait photography.
As a photographer on the autism spectrum, I experience the world through a lens of distinct detail. I notice the subtle expressions others miss. I understand that for many—whether it’s a child with sensory sensitivities or an adult who is simply camera-shy—the traditional "smile and say cheese" approach feels overwhelming.
That’s why I founded Photography Matters.
I wanted to build a studio where the clock doesn't tick quite so loud. A place where we adapt to you, not the other way around. Whether we are shooting a quiet portrait session or a lively family gathering, my promise is the same: I will give you the time, space, and safety to be your authentic self.
