Three Generations of Love: A Family Beach and Park Session in Carlsbad
Family sessions are always special, but when you bring three generations together for a day full of laughter, fun, and love, it turns into something truly unforgettable. I recently had the absolute joy of capturing a wonderful family session starting right on the scenic shores of Tamarack Beach in Carlsbad and finishing up under the eucalyptus trees at the nearby Hosp Grove Park.
A Coordinated Coastal Vibe
To tie the multi-generational session together, the family chose a gorgeous, classic theme of white, blue, and light gray. It matched the coastal atmosphere of Tamarack Beach perfectly, giving the entire gallery a clean, timeless, and breezy feel.
From the Beach to the Trees
We started down by the ocean rocks and wet sand of Carlsbad, capturing everything from grand family group, sibling shots, and relaxed individual portraits to candid moments of everyone walking together. There was no shortage of fun and playfulness, especially when the kids started splashing in the surf and showing off their joyful energy!
After soaking up the ocean breeze, we changed up the scenery and headed over to Hosp Grove Park. Surrounded by towering trees and rustic wooden fences, the park provided a completely different, earthy backdrop for more intimate family groupings and loving couple shots.
